Leong Yuen Yoong PhD

A fully funded scholar of the Perdana, Chevening and Golden Hope Foundations, Dr Leong holds a PhD in International Manufacturing Strategy and Network Systems from the University of Cambridge, UK; a MEng in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College of Science Technology & Medicine, UK; and has studied Business Sustainability Management at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, UK.

 

Dr Leong has been studying Tai Chi under Master Ar. Wong Sow Hong since 2010. Training includes fist, sword, broad sword, stick, fan, spear and green-dragon crescent-moon sabre.

 

She has been teaching Tai Chi to a wide range of students since 2017. Her Tai Chi foundation course covers the Chen style 22-steps routine, and includes grounding in the philosophical and medical foundations of Tai Chi.

Yuen Yoong provides research, strategy, planning, implementation and strategic sourcing services to companies. She brings strong analytical and productive relationship development skills, planning and implementation experiences, strategic industry and investment networks to projects.

 

Yuen Yoong also provides corporate training in change management. She combines best management practices from the west with oriental thoughts and philosophy.

 

Prior to consulting, Yuen Yoong worked in the plantations and life science technology investment space at Golden Hope Plantations Berhad, Sime Darby Berhad and the Malaysian Life Sciences Capital Fund.
